The 10th discovery grizzly came, and I'm kindof pissed about the condition he's in....most of his fur is in perfect shape, but the seller never bothered to mention that he had a patch of burned up fur on the top of his head....I don't have matching fur in stock, so I had to improvise for the time being-

eventually I'll find the right fur and make him factory original again, but for now I think the mohawk looks good on him :)

P.S. according to my photobucket stats, the pic I posted of the hamm's bears has been viewed more than 3000 times! WTF?!?!

Probably the only place on earth you will see three of these in the same room.....

the one that arrived today is less than prefect, he was obviously in a bar for many years, his muzzle is yellow from cigarrette smoke, and he has a couple of bad patches that need to be redone properly, but as rare as these are I won't complain.

I recently did a complete cleaning job on one of the two wonderful six foot polar bears that sleep next to me every night, he's the one I usually have my arms around and although I always make it a point to go to bed just out of the shower, and in full pajamas, he still managed to get just a bit grey around his neck where I hug him, and on the tips of his paws. So to prevent this problem in the future, I made them both a nice sleeping bag, so I can hug them all I want and they'll stay perfectly snow white :)

Both bags have a silk rope drawstring so their paws and ears can be tucked in.

I'm also doing a restoration on an 80 year old teddy bear that unfortunately had his leg ripped halfway off and the joint pretty badly torn up, I'm about halfway through and taking pix as I go, I'll share all that when I'm done.

I got the modification done so the klondike bar can be completely detached or reattached at will, and the base pretty much deflates completely flat and folds under his butt, so here's what he looks like without all the shit attached to him-

he's a bit over five feet without the base, so a nice BIG bear, and built very sturdy ;)

I still have a second one on the way, I'll leave it sealed up in the original factory box
and just put it in storage.

I know, I know, I already have 7 of these guys, why be excited about getting another one?...well, only two of them, including this guy are in absolutely mint condition, still with perfectly shiny fur (if it's washed, the shine fades) and no blemishes on his vinyl parts...he's so beautiful ^.^

I just snagged this guy on eBay, he's a Gund Premier bear,the seller claims that he is a protype that never went into production. I don't know if that's BS or not, but I'm so in love with him:)

Some quick notes:
the hound at the bottom and the brown bear next to him are hand puppets, rare ones at that- they are a Ganz Wrinkles and a Boyd's Bears "Fillibuster P. Chatsworth"

the raccoon slippers are young child sized, the raccoon hat is one size fits all.

the shaggy bear is a rare Russ "Bently Bear"

the standing polar bear does stand by himself if you balance him carefully on a flat surface.

the funky raccoon at far left has a very unique feel, his fur is ultra soft and his "skin" is loose and slips a bit against the stuffing when you run your hands through it, he's extremely cuddly.

Since the "lovedoll" version of my Saranac bears is pretty well wrecked at this point, I decided to see how well he'd heat stretch....F8cktoy on the left, 'factory original' on the right....

not too bad, considering he's not made from the best grade of PVC...I got about a 33% increase before he busted wide open and I had to call it quits and repair the damage.

It bears noting that a good fresh one out of the package could probably stretch quite a bit more, but this one has been thrashed and beaten...badly :)
once I have a few more in the archive I will attempt a stretch on a nice new one (I found a new source for them, be nice and I MIGHT tell you where to get some ;)

While I was sick, this guy arrived in the mail...

so he spent a couple of days under the comforter with my sick ass and kept me warm and comforted....thank you, little cub :)

Just got a spare of "mama bear" from the Dakin Elegant 3 bears set I already have...

I did a quick nip & tuck to improve the look of her face, here's a before & after:

I'm gathering up materials for a unique project, or rather one that I am handing off to the jewelry design class at PTEC. I have a sizeable pile of scrap gold (about 300g), the little bear figurine you can see in front of the pile will be used as a die to make the mold for a gold bear fetish, wich will be 2 1/4 inches long, and solid gold all the way through.



I know it's beyond extravagant, but it feels like a fitting way to pay homage to my wondeful bears :)

So, I just officially secured my hansa giant panda, my objective for selling all those inflatables and dealing with all the insanity....

according to the maufacturer specs, he sits 48 inches high (from butt to ears) but I am told by the shop owner I'm ordering him through that he's bigger than that...."huge" was the word she used :)

I still have work to do on him, his nose/mouth are still pretty rough (have to hit that with a much smaller brush) figure out what to do with the circular scar on his chest where the stupid egg used to be (maybe a heart over it, or a pocket?).In this pick his muzzle still looks a bit wrinkly, because I only had a tiny pinhole open between it and the air chamber in the head, so it wasn't pressurizing fully. Now that I have all the leaks taken care of, I have a larger passage opened though, so it looks nice ans smooth. I'll post a final pic once i have him touched up

now I'm working on a set of bear ears, soon as that's done I'll snick off the bunny ears and replace them, then the last step is making a 3-d muzzle. hopefully I'll have all that done in a few hours, though I'll probably wait till tuesday to paint the nose and mouth on the muzzle

well, the inflatable auctions are winding down, just listed the next-to-last round of auctions, literally, after this, there's nothing left to sell (that I can bring myself to part with)....which brings me to my subject du-jour, this easter bunny, which I was almost going to list, but something just wouldn't let me part with him....I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but then I had a flash of brilliance, now I know what it was...

he'd make a really great (and relatively easy) conversion into a polar bear!


Just replace the bunny ears (they are separate air chambers) with some nice round bear ears, a nice 3-d bear muzzle, and a tail (there never was a buuny tail to start with)

I wil of course post pix once he is complete :)

Fail: Some epic loser robbed a Subway near PTEC, they put the whole school on lockdown (that's doors locked, and all the lights turned off, no one can talk, or leave the room) FOR 2 F*CKING HOURS!!!!! loss of almost half a days class time, and I had to piss like a racehorse by the time they let us out >:( F*ck you, selfish crackhead....you win $50 and 5 years in prison sex hell.

Win: My mighty little Magnolia tree had it's firt bloom ever, it looks weird since the bloom is 4 inches across (half-opened) and the whole tree is only 3 feet tall, but i thought it was worth a photo:



OMFG: I bought a Lou Rankin "Fairbanks" polar bear, the 4 foot tall size, paid much less than issue price for him, but since he was shipped from Australia he had to be shipped unstuffed, and he needed a light clean as well, it was a bit of work, but well worth it, he's amazing....his expression says it all, and he's an accomplished cuddler :)

k, so I've been posting up Kimber's inflatables for awhile now, and dealing with all the creepyinsaneweirdness from the inflato community (except for a few inflatofurs who are pretty cool, and pretty sane, you know who you are so don't take this personally, I'm talking about the other 80 percent)  I've been dealing with the auction saboteurs ("it's MY creation, so you can't sell it!") the beggars ( I deserve it MORE so end the auction and sell it to me for the minimum price) the mentally stunted closet child (I'll email you 3 times a day with the same question even though you have already answered it) and the guilt tripper (I've bid on the same item 50 times and always get outbid 'cause the price goes too high, so I give up *they actually email me with this*)  oh, and lest I forget, the assholes who try to tack on a page question that goes something like this ...."oh, FYI, you can still get this inflate for $$$$$ dollars on the net" even though when I ask them to cough up a link, they never respond.....
at this point, I want to clear out my garage to make room for my leatherworking bench, and of course, sqeeeze out whatever remaining $$$ is sleeping in that pile of inflatable fucktoys, so here's the new precedent regarding my inflatable auctions-

I will list a given inflatable two (2) times. If at the end of the second auction no one has bid the minimum auction open price, said inflatable will be taken to Tilt's camp-out, filled with OxyAcetalyne, and ignited (with a model rocket ignition squibb) for the benefit of Youtube viewers everywhere.

Yah, kindof tired of an auction ending with no bids, only to have some toehead email me with "hey, is X item still for sale?"
